I am back and ready to post some more soon!

Hello everyone~

We are back from California and got my Mom's place all cleaned out. It was a big step for me and one that I kept putting off, but I did it. It has been 7 months now since she passed away and I needed to take care of her things. It was actually very good for me and I was able to really say goodbye to her, and to let her go. I know she is at peace finally, and I am getting there too.

So, that means I am home now and able to do some more creating. I will update you with some artwork early this week. And.............the new Idea Book will be out in 1 month, but I might have some sneak peaks for you before then. With a smile still, Tina

Flower card #3 and a brief tutorial

Here is the 3rd card I have made with this same technique. It is really quite easy. I will give a brief tutorial.
1. Start with a a 1 1/4 x 12 strip of BTP.
2. Cut one long edge with scallop scissors
3. score it every 1/2 inch the entire length
4. Accordian fold it, then glue the two ends together.
5. Cut a 1x1 piece of Cardstock and add a big glue dot to the center. This is a base.
Now this is the trickiest part:
6. Gather the non-scalloped side, and attach to a big glue dot on the cardstock.
7. Once you have the ends stuck down, push out on the scalloped edge to get the paper to lay flat like the flower shown.
8. Punch a small circle and glue dot that down right over the center of the flower.
This will give it added stability to stay together.
Don't get discouraged if this takes you a few tries. It is a bit difficult.

Acrylic Album- Memories of my Mom

Hi Ladies, today I thought I would post a few pages of the Acrylic Album I made in memory of my mom. As most of you know she passed away suddenly on Sept. 14th, 2008 at 57 years old. I started this album shortly after that day, but it has taken me until now to post some of the finished pages. We were so blessed to have her at our house for a visit in July, just 6 weeks before she passed away. She got to meet her 4th little grandson at that visit. For that time, I will forever be grateful. With a smile~ Tina

Happy Monday~ Paper Flower Card

Good Monday morning. I thought I would share a card we made at my "Ladies Night Out" class last month. This card was created using paper from the new "That's Amore" scrapbook kit. The flower was made from a 1 1/4 x 12 strip of BTP, that was scored every half inch and accordian folded. I will post a tutorial on it soon. Enjoy!
