Mix and Mingle Albums as home decor

Hey everyone,

I was playing with the new Mix & Mingle albums and the Upper Case Alphabet Dimensional Elements and came up with these 2 fun projects. Both are wall hangings but could easily be turned into mantle displays. The LOVE home decor piece has space for 2 photos on the ends. Click on the images to see them in more detail. Enjoy!

More holiday inspiration~

Good Morning,

I thought I would share a few more Christmas cards to get your creative juices flowing. I love the simplicity of these cards. Anyone could whip out a batch of homemade cards in no time at all. And, the stamp set is one of our least expensive sets available:  Timber.

The colors featured are: Garden Green, New England Ivy and Cranberry from the Mistletoe paper pack.  Bling was added to the cards using our sparkles and Glitz Glitter Gel. Enjoy!!

November is almost here... and that means Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. It is one of my favorite holidays. The weather has shifted and the leaves start changing to all sort of beautiful colors. The kids get time out of school, which means time with family, enjoying one another and reflecting on all we have to be thankful for. It is truly the start of the holiday season for me.

And in that spirit,  I have some beautiful cards to share. These cards feature the new Olivia Kit and are what we will be creating in my November Card club. This group meets on the second Tuesday of every month, and everyone is welcome. I just need about a week notice to prepare stuff for you. Send me an email for more details.

One of the things I am thankful for is my small group of talented and sweet ladies that I get to create with. Two of these cards were made by my friends Allison Grice and Nancy Reding. We trade cards and ideas every other month and I feel so blessed to have that with them. If you have any questions about these cards or the November Card club, send me an email at jjtlovell@aol.com or catch me on skype: scrapgirl2.

A few more layouts I created online in Studio J

Good Morning,

I thought I would share a few more layouts I have been working on this week. I tell you, that Studio J is kind of addicting. My husband thought I spent too much time on the computer before, but now he is just shaking his head at me.... but thats okay. I simply remind him of how much time he spends on the football field, or basketball court, or baseball field ... and then we're all good. Hee hee hee.... where there's a will, there is a way. Please enjoy these layouts. If you have any questions, just shoot me an email.

If you want to try your hand at online scrapbooking, create your FREE ACCOUNT in Studio J, and start playing. There is no fee to create, ever. Be inspired, get creative, and have some fun.

With a smile,
Tina

So what DID I create in Studio J??

Hello again,

I forgot to mention that included with every layout you purchase from Studio J are high resolution jpg.s that you can do whatever you want with. How cool is that! So here is a sampling of what I worked on over the last couple of days.... ALL digital! Click on the images to see them in more detail.

Please email me if you have any questions at all on how Studio J works. There is a GREAT annual membership that saves you 50% off of every layout, as well as gives you FREE shipping and FREE page protectors for every layout ordered. It's a smokin' hot deal! You can create your Free Account here and start playing. Be inspired to tell your family's story.... if you don't, who will?

Scrapbooking -- Are you behind?

Earlier this week I sat at my desk looking through my photo journal. I realized that I still had pictures from 2009 that I had not yet scrapbooked and I felt a bit overwhelmed. I try to stay more current than that as my boys love looking through the photos. But as the days fly by, I find I get a little bit further behind. Can any of you relate to this? So I did what any committed scrapper would do.... I determined to try and work on those layouts that would finish off the photos from 2009... and I had a secret weapon. I am happy to report that in the last 3 days, I have completed 26 two-page 12x12 layouts. Not only did I finish up the last photos from 2009, but have scrapbooked quite a few layouts from life this year. How did I do so many in such a short amount of time? It's easy - I am superwoman! ha haha, just kidding.

My secret weapon was Close To My Hearts newest program: Studio J. I had played around with it a bit, but not really jumped in with both feet. On Tuesday of this week, I did just that, and boy was it fun. The program is so simple to use. I did not have to worry about cropping or editing any of my photos first, or even printing them for that matter. I simply uploaded them and started playing.

Here is a rough outline of what creating a layout involved:

  1. Creating a project- this means typing in a name
  2. Uploading your photos
  3. Choosing the My Reflections kit (there are kits that are online exclusively)
  4. Choosing the layout you want to use (you can view them all, or select based on # of photos)
  5. Choosing the "Kit Mix" of papers from the samples they provide
  6. Drag and drop your photos into the layout
  7. Click on Embellishments and Stickease, then drag and drop into the layout
  8. Add your journaling
  9. Save to Cart
It was THAT simple... and so fun. I am not kidding!!  Now the best part of all is that it is 100% FREE to play with. You  never pay anything unless of course, you want to order layouts. Check it out for yourself. Simply visit Studio J here, and create a FREE account and play. I would love to hear what you think.

With a smile,
Tina

Scrapbooking Online with Studio J - New Membership feature starts today

Good Morning Ladies,

I am so excited that it is September 1st, because the NEW Studio J membership program starts today! It is so incredibly awesome and I can't wait to order my layouts. I have been creating and saving these layouts in my Studio J account just waiting for today. You see, today marks the first day I can purchase layouts as a member. What that means is this:

  • My layouts only cost $6.50 for a 2 page, 12x12 layout
  • My layouts are shipped to me for FREE (up to 10 a month)
  • My layouts come with FREE page protectors
  • My layouts include FREE High-resolution jpg.s of each layout to do with as I please
  • My membership allows me to see exclusive kits and page designs not available to non-members
  • My membership means I do NOT have to pay for photo developing anymore- weather I print them myself, order them online, or take them to a store...that money is SAVED
  • My membership means I do NOT have to spend time sorting, cropping and correcting my layouts before I send them in to be printed....I can do it right on my layout in Studio J with just a click of the mouse
So you can see why I was so excited for today. For non members, layouts are $12.95 each plus shipping and handling, so the membership is SO worth it for the $99 annual fee. You and your whole family can create unlimited layouts for that price.

Don't be afraid to jump in and play with it either. You can create your account for FREE! By creating your Free account, Studio J will remember your projects and save them for you. And then you can play, play, play and never have to buy a single layout. Check it out now.
