Scrappin' with Studio J Online Scrapbooking Software

Good Morning everyone,

It's been awhile since I posted any of my creations in Studio J so I thought perhaps everyone would enjoy seeing what I have been up to. I've been in a scrapbooking mood lately and completed 26 two page layouts in 4 days with Studio J. That is 52 pages!! And I did it just like I scrapbook traditionally. I'll kind of give you a rundown of my process here:

  1. First I look at my pictures on my computer and figure out what I need to scrapbook.
  2. Next I log into my Studio J account and "Create a project" which really means give that layout a title so I can remember the project.
  3. Next I start uploading the photos I want to use on that project.
  4. While the photos are uploading, I click on "Continue" and pick the Paper Kit I want to work on.
  5. The photos are usually still uploading so I click "Continue" and choose the Layout I want to use
  6. Sometimes  my photos are still uploading so I start playing with the layout.... coloring the accents, or deleting any I don't want to use, changing paper colors, rotating the pages etc.
  7. At this point, the photos have uploaded and I can start dragging and dropping my photos to the layout. OR....
  8. I usually go back to the Start page and "Create a Project" and start uploading new photos.
I usually repeat this process for awhile so I have all of my projects "organized" and ready to go. Then, when I have a smidgen of time, I will log into Studio J, open one of these projects and drag and drop photos, My Stickease, and embellishments until I complete it. I then simply click "Add To Cart" and I am good to go. Before I know it my cart is full of completed layouts and I check out.... wah-lah.... 26 layouts in 4 days. And in case any of you were curious... Studio J is 100% Free to play around in. You only pay if you want to buy a layout, and then it's only $6.95..... so so affordable!! If you have never created an account, its free to do so.
Here are just a few of my creations: Click on any of the photos to see them larger.

Especially for my Card Makers: New WOTG Kits for making Cards!

Good Morning Everyone,

I thought it was a good time to talk about two of our newest Workshop on the Go Kits because they are made SPECIFICALLY for cardmakers... LOVE IT! As most of you know, we've had these all inclusive kits for awhile now, but they have really been geared towards scrapbookers.

These new kits are different. Not only are the stamps more geared towards cards, but the kits also come with pre-cut cards and matching envelopes. So fun. In this Idea Book the two kits are Avonlea and Pear and Partridge. This video gives you an up close look at all that you can do with them.

Final layout in my 6 page Clementine Workshop Kit

Good Morning,

This is the final layout in my 6 page Clementine Workshop kit. Again, I focused on the Twilight Cardstock since I am a mom of 4 boys. I added interest to the twilight base pages by stamping on them with twilight ink using the stamp set that comes in the Clementine Workshop on the Go kit. And again, this is another new layout featured in our brand new How-To program, Make It From Your Heart. Contact me if you would like to get your own 6 page Clementine Scrapbook Kit.  With a smile~ Tina

My last Clementine Card to share this month...

Good Morning,

I wanted to share the last card I created using the new Clementine Workshop on the Go Kit. The focal point color on this card is Saddle, and I distressed it with our sanding kit. Again, I used the Cottage Assortment and the Zip strip for my accent and sentiment. Easy Peasy right? I would love to hear what you think so feel free to leave a comment!  With a smile~ Tina

The second layout for my Clementine Workshop Kits

Good Morning,

Today I wanted to share the second 2-page 12x12 layout I created using the Clementine Papers and Canvas Complements. The main color I used was Twilight with accents of Saddle and Smoothie. Twilight is not one of the colors that comes with the kit, however it is quite prevalent in the B&TP so I chose to pull it in as a focal point color. This made this paper work great for me even though I am a mom of only boys.

If you look closely at the layout, I gave the Saddle cardstock a faux leather look by crumpling it several times, then smoothing it out, and then lightly sponging it with saddle ink. If you don't have the new color Saddle yet, Brown Bag works nicely too. I also crumpled a piece of copy paper, and then inked it with Twilight and tapped all over the Twilight base pieces. That simply added another layer of distressing to the whole layouts.

And lastly, the pattern for this is also from the new How-To Program-  Make It From Your Heart. I am having a lot of fun creating out of that book. It has both card designs and scrapbook designs in one nifty book for only $7.95. It can't be beat! As always, if you have any questions, feel free to email me. Or, if you want to get your own Clementine 6 page Scrapbook Kit,  we can do that too. With a smile~ Tina

Now for some layouts created with the Clementine Papers

Good Morning,

I know I have been focusing a bit on cards, so today I will show you one of the 2 page, 12x12 layouts I created for my Workshop Kit club using the Clementine papers.

I chose to feature two of our new colors: Cashmere and Saddle. Aren't they beautiful. We added 6 new colors to our Exclusive Color Palette. If you haven't seen them, you can see them on page 11 of the Autumn/Winter Idea Book... and you might be interested in my new Color Club starting October 1st. Email me for details on this club that will help you slowly build up your inventory of cardstock, ink pads and our new Alcohol Markers, while also earning $40-$60 in FREE product of your choice, a half priced item or bundle of your choice, and a Free Stamp of the Month.
Make It From Your Heart - Vol. 1
Now back to the layout... the actual design is from our newest How-To program called Make It From Your Heart. Scrapbooking is so much faster and easier with these books. Then for accents, I simply added a bit of saddle ink to the edges of the Clementine Canvas Complements and added the Mocha Pearl Adhesives. The last little touch was to add a sentiments from one of my favorite stamp sets: Family Love.

It's that simple! I hope you were inspired to get our your supplies and whip out a page or two of your own.

Clementine Kit ~ A second card

Good Morning,

Today I wanted to show you the second card I created with the Clementine Workshop on the Go kit. For this card I use Twilight as the main color, and then another flower from the Cottage Assortment. However, I cut the blue flower out of the B&TP and attached the flower to it. Again, the sentiments were cut from the zip strip on the edge of the paper. Enjoy! Tina

Clementine Kit

Good Morning Everyone,

Welcome to September and the first day of school under our belt. I love the routine of school days. It's just really good to have a predictable schedule to follow everyday! And with that predictable schedule, I will be able to have a wee bit more creative time. Which means, lots of cute artwork to show you all.

Today's post will feature the New Clementine Workshop on the Go set. All of my club members will be creating either scrapbook pages or cards this month with these stamps and papers as well as the new Burlap ribbon

The colors I used on this card are Smoothie, Twilight and Colonial White. If you look closely you will see there is not a lot of stamping on this card... just a little tone on tone in the background and a couple of flowers. The focal point accent is one of the Cottage Assortment flowers. These are made of fabric, stitching and buttons. And... the sentiments are from the zip strip on one of the papers. I simply trimmed it to show the words I wanted for this card. Quick and Easy! Feel free to email me if you have any questions. With a smile~ Tina

Our New How To Program - "Make It From Your Heart"

Hey everyone,

Today I wanted to share a short video about our newest how-to program called "Make It From Your Heart." As most of you know, our current books were all retired on July 31st and many were worried that we would not have these great instructional programs to help us scrapbook and create cards fast, simple and easily.... but fear no more because we have this great new program at a very affordable price- just $7.95.

There are several benefits I see to this new style:
1. The price- $7.95 is an amazing price!
2. The content- it includes both scrapbook pages and cards in one program.
3. The ability to keep the examples up to date with the current product we are carrying and the current trends on the market.

Close to My Heart put together a quick video to show you all about it. I would love to hear what you think.
With a smile~ Tina
