Cricut Artiste Gift Card Holders made easy!

Good Morning,

Today I wanted to share a few more Gift Card Holders I created from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. I've received such positive feedback on these that I have created a ton to share. I am also hosting a workshop, available locally or as a to-go kit, in December. Just visit the WORKSHOPS tab at the top of my blog to find out more.  Anyway, with this cartridge, some cute paper and liquid glass, you can whip these out in no time, which is good because Christmas is just around the corner!

Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions about the cartridge, the workshop or anything. I am here to help.

Have you seen our new Slate Polka Dot Ribbon?

Good Morning,

I wanted to share this particular card with you today because I think it showcases our new Slate Satin Polka-Dot Ribbon really well. I just love this particular ribbon. It is 1 1/2 wide and so easy to work with. I think it adds the perfect finishing touch to this simple card that uses small scraps of paper from the Avonlea paper packet. By the way, the focal point color on this card is our new SLATE. Isn't it lovely. I have used this new color more than any of the other five. It's become one of my fav's!

As always, please feel free to contact me or leave a comment if you have any questions.
With a smile,
Tina

PS- I have decided to add this card to the weekly Word Art Wednesday blog and the Pile It On challenge blog. Stop by and check it out. :)

Cricut Artiste Cartridge Video Tutorial: Using the coordinating stamps and chipboard

Good Morning,

Today's video tutorial was created to inspire you to use your Cricut Artiste Cartridge collection to the fullest. When you order this cartridge, not only do you get over 700 images, but you also get 3 coordinating stamp sets and 3 sheets of chipboard shapes that coordinate with the cartridge. This makes for some quick and fun projects. The video will show you how you can cut the image out, stamp with the coordinating sets and mount onto the chipboard dimensional elements. Voila! Instant fab!

Christmas Reindeer using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Good Morning,

Today's card features the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest earlier this month. I cut the stockings, the stocking cuff and patches from page 57 of the handbook. I then cut a 2" snowflake out of our new Champagne cardstock from page 30 of the Art Philosophy handbook.

As you can probably see, I simply flipped the stockings upside down to create reindeer heads, cut apart the snowflakes for antlers, and used the patches to create ears. I cut the stocking cuff out of cranberry cardstock and then glittered it once it was applied to the card. A bit of cranberry bakers twine and some Mocha Pearl gems created the eyes. Easy Peasy! Enjoy and as always, feel free to contact me or leave a comment with any questions you might have.  With a smile~ Tina

Happy Birthday cupcake card~

Good Morning,

Today's card is also created using the Flirty papers and the Pun Fun Stamp set, but this time I used the cupcake from the set and colored it in with the Cotton Candy and Goldrush markers. Sparkles and Glitter tops it off again.  The design is similar to the last card, I simply turned the card on its end and created a vertical card with no ribbon. Viola!

The many faces of masking; some old, some true, some familiar and some new!

Good Morning,

It's time for another video tutorial. This one is pretty fun. It shows you several ways to do the masking technique. Not only will you see some of the basic ways you may already be familiar with,  but we will also show you a couple of ways you may not be using yet... like negative space masking. Sit back and relax for about 5 minutes and enjoy the short tutorial. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

My little Flirty Bee~

Good Morning,

I hope you have all recovered from the black Friday shopping if you were brave enough to venture out. I did get out and do a little shopping, but online was where it was at for me. Hence, my distraction from blogging lately. So to catch up a bit, I have a bunch of artwork to share with you all.

The first card I wanted to share was made with the Flirty papers and the Pun Fun stamp set. I also used our new Alcohol Markers to color in the little bee before popping him off the card. I then topped it all off with some glitter, a strip of burlap ribbon and a couple of sparkles. Fun, simple and quick! You could recreate this same card with any  number of papers and accessories.... maybe I will just do that! In the mean time I am going to enter it in the Pile It On challenge.

Grateful for good friends with the Flirty paper again. :)

Good Morning,

Yep, I am still creating with the Flirty papers from Close To My Heart. The colors are so rich and creamy, I just can't stop creating with them. Today's card is for a friend who means a lot to me. I created the card from the sketch at Always Playing with Paper. It was such a clean design that it caught my eye. The sentiment frame and the flower are cut from the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and stamped with the sentiments from the A Friend Like You stamp set in Autumn Terracotta ink.

I am also going to submit this card to the Pile It OnHeart to Heart , and the My Craft Spot thankful challenges as well as the sweet challenge over at Word Art Wednesday
Enjoy! With a smile~ Tina

Video Tutorial: Pigment Ink vs. Dye Based Inks

Hello again,

Two videos in one day... what is going on here?? Hee hee... well CTMH just shared a great tutorial on pigment inks and dye based inks. And... if you are visual like me, I know that seeing these inks in action is better than just reading about it.  But before we get to the video, I just want to say that both inks are wonderful and have their own place in your stamping and scrapbooking creations... it simply depends on what kind of look you are going for. Watch and see what I mean.

Gift-Card Holders for your holiday gifties!

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is the start of my Christmas card and gift idea spree! I've had a lot of fun playing with the Artiste Cricut cartridge and the Pear and Partridge paper and now its time to share. Today's project is a gift card holder. I know there are times when a gift card actually is the perfect gift for someone so giving it in style makes it even more fun.

This gift card holder was cut from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. You can find the keys on page 59. I cut it at 5 1/4", which is also the "Fit-to-Page" setting. The bow was also cut from this cartridge (pg. 55) at 1". Assembly was super fast and I did use liquid glass to adhere it all together to make sure it stayed together perfectly with all the opening and closing.

We will be making these at my upcoming workshop in December. To get more information on that, simply click on the "Workshops" tab at the top of the blog. You can attend the class in person, or order your own kit to complete at home. All to-go workshops have the stamping already done for you.

As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Christmas Cards for Christmas Cheer to bring you Joy throughout the Year!

Good Morning,

I am feeling a bit Christmasy these days and have been creating like crazy. I always do all of my Christmas creations in November to try and ease the holiday crunch that most of us feel. Today's card features the Pear & Partridge paper with the sentiment from the Merry & Bright stamp set. My favorite part of this card is the cute little tree. It is made by taking a 5" circle, cutting it in half and folding it back and forth. Simple and cute.
As always, if you have any questions feel free to contact me.  With a smile, Tina

I am entering this card in the anything goes challenge at Totally Stampalicious and Stampin' For the Weekend.

More flirty to do today~

Hello again~

Okay, so 3 posts in one day.... too much to share I guess. This is the very last card I will be sharing today and again, its from the new Flirty papers and chipboard complements. This card was inspired by a sketch at the Paper Players. Love these little challenges. In this card you can see a lot more of the Flirty Raspberry color that is exclusive to the Flirty paper pack. I think it is such a beautiful color and goes so well with the colors from our Enchantment palette. I would LOVE to see it become a regular in our lineup!
As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Enjoy... and goodnight!

Feeling a little Flirty today~

Hey Everyone,

It's me again.  :) Two posts in one day.... weird! lol!
Anyway, I was having so much fun with the current sketch from Mojo Monday that I created a second card to share with you all. This 5x5 card uses our new Flirty Papers and Chipboard Complements. I chose Goldrush  as the focal point color and edge distressed it with Autumn Terracotta ink. The bow was easy... I simply cut it out using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge at 1". I also used a bit of the Almond Glitter Gel. I simply "finger painted" it on to give a very light shimmer. Enjoy!! Tina

Playing with La Belle Vie today~

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to share a couple of cards I made yesterday with the La Belle Vie Workshop On The Go kit. This is one of the kits that has specialty colors, only found in this kit. To give you an idea of what these colors look like I focused on the new "La Belle Vie Pink" in these two cards.

My first card is a fun little thank you card that I am also linking to Mojo Monday as part of their sketch challenge. I always get inspired when I have a great pattern to follow.

My second card was also inspired by another challenge, this time at Freshly Made Sketches. I enjoyed the clean and simple lines of their sketch and decided to play along.

I incorporated the black Tulle ribbon (same ribbon I used on all of my Halloween artwork) and the Almond Glitter Gel along with the Mocha Opaque adhesive gems. The nice thing about the opaque pearls is that one package comes with 3 shades to choose from. One of those shades just happens to match the new Almond Glitter Gel perfectly.

And lastly, although most of this card showcases the new La Belle Vie Pink, you can see the other exclusive color, La Belle Vie Mauve in the background patterned paper.
