The My Creation Ring Box turned Party Favors

Good Morning,

Have you guys seen the wide variety of 3-D boxes and items that are available for altering these days. There are tons! And they are so fun to play with as long as you have some ideas to get you started. Today's video is going to do just that. We will show you how to create fun party favors with the My Creations Ring Box and the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge. To get started, they took a 12"x12" page overlay and cut it at a size to fit the top of the box. Then with just a few quick stamped images and some bakers twine there is an adorable box for party guests. Let me show you how easy it is:

If you do not have the Artbooking Cartridge yet and are looking to get it, ordering is simple. Simply visit my website and it will be shipped to you via Fed Ex in  now time at all. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Mini Albums using the Artbooking Cartridge

Good Morning,

Today's video shows you some ideas on how to create your own Mini-Book using the Artbooking cartridge. The video features the Elegance keys found on pages 46 & 47. To create the book you would make sure your real dial size button is NOT pushed and instead set your size dial to 11". The reason you will do this is that this is the size shown in the artbooking book. The nice part of this is that each key on this theme will then cut proportionally to fit the 11" book... no guessing!  Each page is built beginning with stamping right on the base page, followed by images cut on your cricut and completed with your embellishments.

The video also shows you how to create a similar album but at the 8" size this time. If you set your dial to that size, all the different page elements will cut proportionally. It takes all the guesswork out of creating with your cricut, and saves you time and money as well since you aren't cutting multiple pieces trying to get the exact right size that you need. In this second album you will see cricut pieces used that are NOT found on these keys and for those elements you will want to push the real dial size button and cut them to fit the space you are working in. I hope that makes sense. If not, feel free to leave a comment and I will help you out.

Create a Calendar using the CTMH Flip Stand

Good Morning~

Wait until you watch this video! Just in time for the new year, we will show you how you can create your own personalized calendar using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and the Flip Stand Album. The trick is to use the Real Dial size on your cricut to cut the calendar page overlay down to size. The Artbooking cartridge is also full of all kinds of icons that you can use to highlight special days. You can even add photos of your family on their special days. Love it! It is a FUN project, watch and see. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to post a comment or contact me. With a smile~ Tina

Creating Dynamic Focal Points on your Layout with Shapes ~ Cricut Size Settings Tutorial

Good Morning,

Today's video tutorial is one that really caught my eye because I think it teaches something many people don't know how to do with their Cricut Machine ~ Change the size settings to cut in millimeters rather than just inches or centimeters.

In doing so, Close To My Heart also shows you how to create dynamic focal point designs on your scrapbook pages and cards by simply using small shapes... watch and see what I mean. Oh... and having a pen handy to take some quick Cricut machine notes might be helpful too... it was for me!

Artbooking Made Easy using the 2 Winter Themed Keys

Good Morning,

Time for another Artbooking Made Easy video tutorial. Today we will create layouts using the 2 wintertime themed keys found on page 76 & 77 of the Artbooking Booklet. There are 28 images to choose from using just these 2 keys. That is a TON!

About halfway through there is a fun technique shown on how to get a cool background using the "Direct to paper" technique with our mini pigment ink pads. A definite must try.

One last Gift Box from the Cricut Artiste Cartridge~

Good Morning,

Yep~ another fun piece of artwork created with the Cricut Artiste cartridge and items from the Holiday Gift Guide (which is only available until December 31, 2013). By now you've seen this paper a lot... so all I have to see is that the box is created with Slate Cardstock accented with our Ruby Chevron Ribbon. The box was cut using the "Fit To Page" button as well.

Christmas Card with a Removable Ornament created with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Good Morning,

Guess what I have to share today???
Yes~ more artwork featuring stamps and embellishments from the Holiday Gift Guide.
Today's artwork was created by one of my team members~ Linda Pantalone. I love it when I am lucky enough to receive some of her beautiful handmade work and these two beauties show you why.

This first card is special because the focal point image on the front is actually a removable ornament. Linda created this using the Cricut Artiste cartridge, and then adhered velcro to the back of it and onto the card. So clever! The sentiment is from the Santa Claus stamp set.
And on this card, she used the now retired Milestone Shapes along with the Sparkle and Shine Washi tape for a simple country Christmas card. The sentiment is from the brand new Yuletide Greetings stamp set. This card comes together SO quickly because of the washi tape. It's as simple as tearing and sticking. Wah-lah! Enjoy!!  With a smile~ Tina

Sparkle & Shine with Season's Tweetings and the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge... oh my!

Good Morning,

More holiday cards... just in case you are still working on yours. This time I am sharing cards created by my sweet friend Nancy Reding. She is another talented CTMH Consultant whom I enjoy immensely. She often shares her talent with me and so I turn around and share it with all of you.

This first item is a card created using the Season's Tweetings Gift Bag Kit. She colored the images in with the Juniper alcohol marker set, and then accented it with the Silver and the Juniper washi tape from the Sparkle & Shine Washi Tape 3 pack. Cute eh!

And then there is this cutie. She cut the pillow box out of Ruby Cardstock on her Cricut using the Art Philosophy cartridge. A bit of paper here, some bling and washi tape there, a cute stamped image and wah-lah... a super cute, super fun treat holder for the holidays. I just love it! If you don't already have the Art Philosophy cartridge, I highly recommend it. With over 700 images, 3 coordinating stamp sets and 3 sheets of chipboard shapes, it is a GREAT DEAL! Contact me today if you have any questions. It would make a wonderful Christmas gift.

Trim the Tree with Holiday Sparkle Shapes & Sparkle and Shine Washi Tape

Good Morning,

In the "Sparkle and Shine" theme I have been stuck on, I thought you might enjoy seeing some cards that have been created with these papers. This card was created by my friend and fellow CTMH Consultant Joanie McCall. She used the Trim The Tree stamps along with the Sparkle Holiday Shapes. The stamp sets are one of my favorite item out of the Holiday Gift Guide because #1, they are super affordable ($6.95) and #2, they coordinate with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for quick, easy cutting. Love that! She also did a bit of accenting with the Sparkle and Shine Washi tape. What a talented artist she is.

Sparkle and Shine Scrapbook Groups Layout #3

Good Morning,

Here is the 3rd and final double page layout we will be creating in December. Once completed, each of my class members will have 6 layouts prepped and ready to go for scrapbooking their Christmas photos. I added some fun elements with the Sparkle & Shine Washi tapes and then used sentiments from the Zip strips to accent.  Now that is faster, simpler and easier in my book! Enjoy. With a smile, Tina

Sparkle and Shine Scrapbook Group Layout #2

Good Morning~

A quickie post to share the second layout in the 6 page Sparkle and Shine scrapbook kit I created for December classes. Again, the base pages are Ruby and the photos are matted with Slate. Grey is so on trend right now and for good reason... its beautiful! The chipboard complements were spiced up with the Stardust Glitz Glitter Gel which is soon to be retired. :( I love these gels! Don't you think they really spice up the layout without adding bulk. And the nice thing is that the glitter will not flake off! Enjoy! With a smile~ Tina

Creating Scrapbook pages with the Sparkle and Shine papers and Chipboard Complements

Good Morning~

I can't believe it's already December!! I am sure most of you share that same feeling. Time really does fly by... which means I am a little behind in sharing what we will be creating in my December classes. I thought I would start by sharing the layouts my Scrapbook ladies will be creating.

This is Layout #1
The base page color is Ruby. Quick, simple, done! Kind of like our new "Picture My Life" kits coming February 1st... but that is off topic. The Merry and Bright sentiment is stamped using the set that comes in the Sparkle and Shine Workshop on the Go kit. All of these products are only available through December 31st. Eeks! Get em now if you love them. With a smile~ Tina
