Artfully Sent Pocket Card Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to our Artfully Sent Pocket Card Blog Hop!  This short little blog hop will be featuring some fun Pocket Card artwork created using the Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge.

If you have come here from Michele's Blog, you are on the right path!
The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.

For my pocket cards I chose to create with the Seaside Papers to focus on a Summer theme. I always take a ton of photos in the summertime and knew these cards would come in handy when scrapbooking those photos.

For the first card, I used the pocket card function key 9, found on page 9. I cut the card using Kraft Cardstick and then packed it with the paper from the Seaside pack to make the bike pop out. For the top, I cut a 1x6" strip of B&TP from the same pack, attached it and then set it up with some of our teal shimmer trim. A couple of stamped flowers from the Pretty Petals pack and a stamped sentiment and the theme was set.

Here is a close up of the stamped flowers. I watercolored the inside and then outlined it with our turquoise Shin Haan maker. The center was created using a silver sequin with a medium sparkle on top of it... same with the tires on the bike. Overall, it is a very simple card with stunning results.

Here is the second pocket card I created, again with the summertime theme using the same flowers BUT... I incorporated the "Hello Summer" stamp set as the focal point of the card. The reason I did that because the pocket card I chose was simply a poloroid shape. You can find it on page 38 of the Artfully Sent booklet. This gave me lots of options for decorating. I love how easy this one was too.

I hope you were inspired to try creating these fun little cards. They are great for pocket style scrapbooking but also can be used on cards. Grab your Artfully Sent cartridge and start playing. And if you don't yet have that cartridge, I can help you out, of course. hee hee!

Now "Hop" on over to Melissa's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas!
